Obituary

Margaret E. “Peg” (Palmer) Dunlavy, age 95, of Tewksbury, formerly of Andover, died peacefully on April 6, 2016.

Raised and educated in Natick, Peg received her nurse’s training at Milford Hospital. She was serving with the Navy Nurse Corps during World War II when she met and married her husband, Frank. During 43 years of marriage they raised six children in Natick, Syracuse NY, and Andover.

Peg worked in Veterans Administration hospitals most of her career. In retirement she relished winters in Florida, avidly followed the news, cherished her family and friends, and found joy in pets and the natural world.

Predeceased by her husband Frank, and brothers Harry, David, Robert, and Russell Palmer, she is survived by her children Betty and Frank Dunlavy, Sherrie Cahoon, Anne, Jean, and Arthur Dunlavy and his wife Joyce; her grandchildren Andrea, Griffin, and Parker; and many dear family members and friends.

A private service will be held in May. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Merrimack Valley YMCA camp scholarship fund, 101 Amesbury St. 4th fl., Lawrence, MA 01840
