BUXTON - Babbie L. Kennie, age 59, passed away on April 21, 2016 at Saint Joseph's Manor.
She was born in Portland, Maine on July 20, 1956, a daughter of the late Lloyd "Porky" and Ruth Hanson. Babbie attended Bonny Eagle High School where she made many life long friends.
Babbie worked many years at Fairchild and later as a cashier/stocker at Shaw's in North Windham.
She enjoyed music of all kinds, being around friends and just having fun.
Babbie is survived by her son, Christian D. Pratt of Gorham, and her daughter Babbie Joe McCorrison and husband Patrick of Standish, brother Bruce Hanson and wife Temple, sister Brenda Pulcifur and husband Butch, sister Bonnie Malone and husband Bill, and predeased by her brother Barry Hanson. Babbie also had five grandchildren, Payton, Hannah, Emma, Ethan, and Reese, 2 great grandchildren, and sister in law and life long friend Rebecca "Becky" Hebert of Hollis. Babbie is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family such as Phyllis Davis Turbyfill, Carol York, Kathy Kennie and Patty Hulit. Her son Christian is having a Celebration of Life on Saturday April 30,2016 to be held at 894 Chadbourne Rd Standish, Maine from 1pm-4pm. A graveside service will be held at a later time for family and close friends at South Buxton (Tory Hill) Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad E.
