NATICK: Barbara A. Chandnoit, age 71, a longtime Natick resident, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Hudson) Hubbard. Barbara was raised in Watertown and was a graduate of Watertown’s Rosary Academy. She married and settled in Natick (The Hood) to raise her family.
Barbara had been employed as a nurse’s aide for many years, working at Newton-Wellesley Nursing home and for individuals through TLC visiting nurses. She later augmented her income working in maintenance at Wellesley College and ultimately Leonard Morse Hospital.
Barbara had a natural affinity for caring for others, and enjoyed fishing and working word puzzles. Through the years she welcomed many pets into her family, the most recent being her cats.
She is survived by her children, Tina M. Audette and her husband Mark of Fairfax, VT, Pam J. Venini and her husband David of Bellingham, and Eric T. Chandnoit of Natick; and three grandchildren, Matthew W. Bruce of Peabody, and Derek and Ryan Venini of Bellingham.
A memorial gathering will be planned by Barbara’s family to held at her home complex on Cedar Avenue.
