AROIAN, Henry H. Of Wellesley formerly of Belmont, April 16, 2016. Beloved husband of Jane F. Aroian. Devoted father and father in law of Michael P. Aroian and Karen M. Aroian and loving grandfather of 3 grandchildren Hazelyn, Gabriel, and Madeline Aroian of Maynard. Brother of the late Everett Aroian and Deran Aroian and Uncle of Richard M. Aroian of Watertown and Karen J. Aroian of Rockledge, FL. Cousin of Van M. Aroian of Worcester. Son of the late Hasmig Tashjian and Avedis Aroian who immigrated to the U.S. from Armenia in 1915 after surviving the Armenian genocide.

World War II Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Campaign under General MacArthur and participated in the invasion of the Philippines. Retired Police officer with 34 years of service including the Boston Police, Metropolitan Police, and State Police/Registry. Brother of the Masonic Lodge in Westwood.

Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Friday, April 22 from 4-7pm. Funeral Service in the First Armenian Church, 380 Concord Ave, Belmont, Saturday, April 23 at 1:00PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
