Obituary

Simas, Jonathan C. on April 9, 2016 at age 31 died of natural causes after a brief illness at his home in Hayward, California. He grew up in Wellesley before leaving to attend college in California and subsequently embarking on a very successful career in the video game industry. He worked at Electronic Arts and then Activision where his technical and artistic skills helped develop one of the most successful video games of all time, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. He will be greatly missed for the joy he brought to his family and friends. He is survived by his father Vytas Simas and mother Michele Carter, his stepmother Hope Aldrich and stepfather Dan Worsham, his stepbrothers Alexander Krisak and Ian Worsham and stepsister Amanda Aldrich Clark and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation hours will be Friday April 22, 2016 between 3:30PM and 7:30PM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street (Rt.16), Wellesley, MA. A memorial service will be held at St.Paul’s Church in Wellesley on Saturday at 11AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tour de Cure (American Diabetes Association sponsored event).
