Obituary

Richard Thompson Senter, 85, of Medway died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Gleason) Senter.

Born in Rockland, Maine on June 14, 1930, he was a son of the late Wilbur F. and Martha (Wheeler) Senter, Jr.

Mr. Senter was a resident of Medway for over 50 years.

He grew up in Rockland and was a 1948 graduate of Rockland High School. He later earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University. He also graduated from the former Vesper George School of Art and attended Portland School of Art.

Mr. Senter served in the Army in Germany for two years during the Korean War.

He worked as a commercial artist and free-lance writer for many years.

Mr. Senter enjoyed painting with water colors. He loved nature, the outdoors, hiking and cherished his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Robin Kimberling and her husband Charles of West Sand Lake, New York and Sharon Millier and her husband Richard of West Brookfield, four grandchildren, Chuck Kimberling, Drew Millier and his wife Trisha, Holly Millier and Brett Millier and his wife Michelle and two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Olivia Millier.

He is also survived by his sister Caroline Deshon and her husband Deane of Lake Alfred, Florida and several nieces and nephews.

At Mr. Senter’s request, there will be no funeral services.
