On April 8th, 2016 Rita (Hamm) Ruchie went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born September 14th, 1926, the second daughter of Edward and Agnes (Rangitsch) Hamm in North St. Paul. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and attended the College of St. Catherine and St. Agatha's Music Conservatory. On June 21, 1947 she married Warren Ruchie. After military service they moved to Willmar, Minnesota where he helped start the West Central Radiologists. Because of Dr. Ruchie's ill health they moved to Naples, Florida. She had over 3,000 volunteer hours with Naples Community Hospital and many years with the St. Vincent de Paul. She returned to the Twin Cities Minnesota in 2016 to be near her children. She is survived by children Janice Ruchie, St. Paul, Nancy Hamzah, Portland, Oregon, Cindy (Rick) Angrist, Milltown, Wisconsin, John, Golden Valley, Jeffrey (Lisa) Ruchie, Minneapolis, Jill (Howard) Russell, Portland, Oregon, James Ruchie, Eden Prairie, Mark (Susan) Ruchie, Edina; daughter-in-law Barbara Ruchie, Cape Cod; sister Harriet Kielsa; and many cousins. She has six beloved grandchildren, Warren Ruchie III, Ryan Ruchie, Ali Hamzah, Mia Ruchie, Dominic Ruchie and Elvy Ruchie. She was preceded in death by daughter Mary Elizabeth; son Warren Junior; husband Warren Ruchie; and sister Pat Riley. Memorial Mass Friday (4/29) 12:00 PM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 N. Margaret St., North St. Paul. Private interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
