Chumbley, Larry, 67, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully the afternoon of April 18, 2016, with Allison and Jennifer by his side.
The youngest of 11 children, Larry was born January 30, 1949, in Jamestown, KY. After serving in the Army, Larry moved to Louisville and worked at the old Naval Ordnance Station and subsequently retired from UPS. The man never knew a stranger.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Pete and Nettie Belle Chumbley, several siblings and the "love of his life", Mary Alice Scott.
Larry is survived by daughters, Allison Kern (Chris Logsdon) and Jennifer Miles (Jim); his beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail; siblings, Carson, Louise, Dennis, and Carolyn; and lifelong friends, Ray Cowherd and Ronnie Bolton.
You are invited to attend a visitation to celebrate Larry's life on April 21, 2016 from 1-6pm at Owen Funeral Home - Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. A prayer and memories to be shared at 5pm. Cremation will follow at Larry's request.
