DOUGLAS - Darrel Dean "Doug" Douglas, 78, a proud Marine Vietnam Veteran, passed away Friday, April 14, 2016.
He was born October 15, 1937 in Puxico, Missouri and moved to Yulee, FL in 2015 from Athens, TX to live with his daughter. He was a Staff Sergeant with the U. S. Marine Corps and passed away as a result of exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. Mr. Douglas was an excellent gunsmith and marksman and he enjoyed sharing his skill and teaching others.
He was predeceased by a son, Darrel Dean Douglas, II; two sisters, Carolyn and Geneva, and by a brother, D. L. Douglas.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jo Douglas; a daughter and son in law, Marla Douglas Southwell and Dwight; stepson, Greg Mcgill and his wife Kelly; grandchildren, Justin Southwell, Olivia Southwell and Jordan Mcgill; and several nieces and nephews.
