Helen B. Wren
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, April 18, 2016, Mrs. Helen Brooks Wren, 88, loving wife of 64 years to the late Allen F. Wren.
Mrs. Wren was a native of Avera,Ga. She was a graduate of Berry College and taught school for several years. She was a homemaker.
Family members include her son: Barry Wren (Dawn) of Martinez; daughters: Jean Roper (Mark) of Evans, Janet Ergle (Gary) of Augusta, Diane Goldman (Marty) of Evans, Donna Edwards (Dennis) of Lincolnton and Carol Crews (Randy) of Valdosta; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother: Adam Joseph Brooks Jr.(Hazel) of Snellville; sister: Faye Black; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Allen Joe Wren; her father: Adam Joseph Brooks; her mother: Sina Adams Brooks; her brother: John R Brooks; and her sisters: Lena Brooks, Virginia Brooks, Rilla Stokes, Lois Webster, Edith Floyd, and Jerry Andrews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Augusta Old Line Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Dwayne Hooven officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be Marty Goldman and Randy Crews. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
