Maureen K. O'Brien passed away peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning. She was 65. Born and raised in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Black) O'Brien. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she lived in Medford for over 40 years. For many years she was a dedicated member of the Somerville School Department.
The beloved wife of James J. O'Brien, she was a loving mother to Robert O’Brien of Woburn and the late James J. O’Brien, Jr. She was a devoted grandmother to Courtney, Brendan and Jeremiah O’Brien, all of Medford. The dear sister of Emily Hughes, Eleanor Stordy, Margaret Ann O’Brien and Penny O’Brien, she is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and friends in the Somerville School Department.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday, April 21st at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Private.
