Obituary

NATICK: Carol A. (Dean) Fallon, age 83, a longtime Natick resident, died peacefully early Saturday morning, April 16, 2016, at the Stanley R. Tippett Home in Needham. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Fallon.

Born, raised and educated in Newton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Dorothy M. (Reid) Dean. A multitalented and independent lady, she moved to Manhattan where she worked for an advertising agency. While working at the agency she met William and they married in 1956.

The Fallons settled in Natick in 1959, where Carol created a warm and loving home for her growing family. As her children grew older, Carol reentered the workforce initially at Loehmann’s Department Store in Natick, where she decorated the window displays. She also worked for a time as the office administrator at Kathryn Barton Nursing Home in Wayland, prior to being employed for many years as the office manager at Saint Mary’s Rectory in Waltham where she retired in 2003.

Carol was a wonderful cook who enjoyed nothing more than preparing meals for her family, whether a smaller group or for larger occasions and holidays. She would prepare meals for events at Saint Mary’s Rectory whenever one arose and she enjoyed decorating the Rectory for Christmas. She loved Cape Cod and the ocean. And one of Carol’s many pleasures in retirement was spending Tuesdays with her granddaughters when they were younger and visiting with all her grandchildren in her later years.

Predeceased by her husband in 1988, she is survived by their children, Pamela Fallon and her husband David Marsden of Hudson, Deborah M. Schiel and her husband Charles of Shrewsbury, Paula Dolan and her husband James of Sherborn, William P. Fallon of Worcester, and Mark D. Fallon and his wife Merrell of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Emily, Bridget, Liam, and Libby; and her sisters, Dorothy Fay and her husband Donald of Wellesley, and Judith Giere and her husband Richard of Falmouth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick on Wednesday, April 20th at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4
Park Street at Natick Common, on Tuesday 5 – 8PM.
