Holly Hope DeGroot, 64 of Derry, NH died Saturday April 16, 2016 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH following a lengthy illness. Holly was born in Camden, NJ on October 1, 1951, a daughter of the late Duncan and Dorothy (Huskey) McKeith. Holly resided in Derry since 1967. Over the years Holly has enjoyed time spent with her tennis and knitting groups.
She is survived by husband of 45 years, William DeGroot of Derry, two daughters, Amy Kutschke and her husband Alex of Nashua, NH, and Jenifer Alvarado and her husband Alfonso of Torrance, CA, three grandchildren, Nick, Calla and Sofia, two brothers, Duncan McKeith and Archibald McKeith, three sisters, Edith Rea, Alison Yeazel and Laurel McKeith, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Keith McKeith.
Calling hours will be held on Friday April 22, 2016 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 23rd at 10:00am in the First Parish Church, 47 East Derry Rd., E. Derry, NH. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
