KATIE (UNDERWOOD) “KAY” THOMPSON, 77, formerly Katie Ann Brown, who was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brown, passed away on April 16, 2016.
She was a retired employee of Louisville Tile and a member of Shively Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Thompson; her children, Wayne Brown (Cindi), Linda Harp, Brad Brown (Cheryl), Larry Brown (Susan), Joe Brown, Jerry “Scott” Thompson (Dawn) and Brian Thompson (Mary); 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson; her brother, Walter Underwood; and sisters, Mary and Hazel Warren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shively Baptist Church, 1599 Shady Lane with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at her Church.
