Marie Norden, 76, died Monday, July 4, at the Franklin Skilled Nursing Center in Franklin after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Howard B. Norden. Born in Jamaica Plain, she was a graduate of Hyde Park Schools. She had lived in Stoughton for more than 40 years. Mrs. Norden worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Electric Co. in the Sturtevant Division in Hyde Park for 15 years and for 15 years worked part time as a bookkeeper at the Stoughton Schools Lunch Program. She retired several years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and reading.
She is survived by her daughters: Victoria A. Norden of Attleboro and Elaine M. Noonan and her husband Mark of Franklin. She was the grandmother of Edward and Timothy Noonan. She was the sister of the late Francis X. Nuzzo. She is also survived by her sister in law Kathleen Nuzzo of Braintree.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church, 87 N. Main St., Avon on Friday at 9 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Donations in Marie’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Church, 87 N. Main St., Avon 02333. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain, CT.
