Obituary

Etta Grey Copeland Camp, 87, of Tifton passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Elder Phillip Nichols officiating. Mrs. Camp will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 18, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ian Stephens, Noah Stephens, Josh Goff, Joey Copeland, Tim Copeland and Leon Pate will serve as pallbearers.

Born August 1, 1928 in Ocilla, Mrs. Camp was the daughter of the late Harris Little Copeland, Sr. and Sally Sandifer Copeland. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Loyd A. “Bill” Green; her second husband, Hubert Camp; four brothers, Benjamin Harold “Bo” Copeland, Alvin Randall “Buck” Copeland, James Rudolph “Jim” Copeland and Harris Little “Bea” Copeland, Jr.; a sister, Margaret Hilda Tribble; and a grandson, James “Jim” Dees. She was retired from Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals as the agent for United Family Life Insurance and had previously worked for the Tift County Tax Assessors Office and Central Jewelers. She was a member of Tifton Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Camp is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Jimmy Dees of Tifton and Brenda and Roger Hand of Ty Ty; a brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Sue Copeland of Alapaha; three grandchildren, Greta Stephens, Lauralee Hayes and Kayla Goff; and six great-grandchildren.
