Donna L. (Geraghty) Southern, 64, of New Bedford died April 14, 2016 at Country Gardens Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in Attleboro, the daughter of the late Walter and Estelle (Beauregard) Geraghty, she was raised in North Attleboro and lived in New Bedford for the late 20 years.
Donna was a member of The Church of the Full Gospel Christian Church and volunteered her time with her church at the Bristol County House of Correction and at Market Ministries in New Bedford.
She was formerly employed by Sippican/Lockheed Martin in Marion for 21 years until her retirement in 2007.
She was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and Fisher Junior College.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Country Gardens and Gentiva Hospice for the excellent care that Donna received.
Survivors include her sister, Lisa Niedzwiadek and her husband Gary of North Scituate, RI; a niece, Ashlyn Niedzwiadek; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at 4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Saturday from 2 - 4 PM prior to her service.
