Obituary

Roger P. Gaudette, 85, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at home, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Jeannine (Theroux) Gaudette with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Gelas and Lucie (Poirier) Gaudette. A graduate of Bentley College, Roger worked for ITT Semi-Conductor where he met Jeannine. The majority of his career was in accounting as Director of Operations for Computervision. Roger served stateside with the Army during the Korean Conflict.

Roger loved his family and close friends. He was a quiet, patient, generous and hard working man. He also loved his home, and as a fine craftsman could be found working on their home, or helping his friends with their home improvement projects. Those who really got to know Roger were impressed with his gentle, considerate and sometime silly sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his loving wife Jeannine, he is survived by son Marc Gaudette and his wife Melissa with grandchildren, John & Luella, daughters, Susan VanCor and her husband Judson with grandchildren, Amanda, Tanner & Jared, Michelle Bouras and her husband Peter with grandchildren, Demetri & Damian. He was predeceased by his brother Andre and sisters, Lucille Jackman, Estelle Levesque and Marie Wickline.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. His funeral will be on Tuesday, April 19th at 11:00 A.M. in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Burial at a later date will be private.
