Charles R. “Randy” Hopewell 80 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. In his younger days Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and target shooting. Randy was a 60 year veteran of Local # 502.
He is preceded in death by his son Steven , his father and step-mother Charles and Billie Hopewell and sister Eva June Bandy. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Sarah Ann (Jones) Hopewell, son Charles R. Hopewell Jr. (Cheryl), daughter Kathleen Robey (Dan), his sister Beverly Whitehouse and loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Randy was a happy committed Christian and lived his life with care and compassion to ones he met.
His funeral will be 11 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be 2 pm to 7 pm Friday
