Obituary

DIGHTON - Henry Catabia of Dighton passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the age of 78 after battling a long illness.
Born in Taunton, the son of the late George and Dorothy (Cambra) Catabia, he was raised and educated in Dighton and was a longtime Dighton resident.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
The proud owner of the former Henri's Beauty Salon of West Bridgewater for many years, later teaching at the Labaron Hairdressing Academy of Brockton, Henry was admired by his many customers and students.
In his spare time, he enjoyed dancing and volleyball.
Henry especially enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas which he did annually for many years.
He was the loving father of Coreen O'Donnell and her husband Murt of Hingham, Kyle and Kristen Lomas of Westminster, and Kory and Crystal Belanger, also of Westminster; and was the adoring grandfather of Tracey, Emmet, Deirdre, Kameron and Tylar. Survivors also include many cousins; and his longtime sweetheart, Jean Douglas of Plymouth.
A Prayer Service will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, April 16th at 6 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the Services.
Following cremation, relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton on Saturday, April 23rd at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 or to the charity of one’s choice.
