Alice A. (Dion) Levesque 77, formerly of Woonsocket, died at home, Tuesday, April 12, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard Levesque. Alice was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Joseph and Flora (Pichette) Dion. She was a traffic secretary working for CVS for over forty years, retiring in 2001. She formed a children’s arts & crafts group called the “Buttons and Bows Club” in the Oak Grove area of Woonsocket, and also served as a den mother for Troop 6 in Woonsocket.
Alice was also an avid square dancer and belonged to The Fancy Squares Square Dance Club, and was a round dance caller and taught line dancing throughout the Blackstone Valley.
She is survived by a son; Richard Levesque and his wife Karolyn of Smithfield, two daughters; Cathy Levesque and her husband Owen Bebeau of Blackstone, and Donna Goff and her husband Stephen, of Woonsocket, ten grandchildren; Joseph, Sarah, Johnathan, Maxwel, Miriah, Richard, Eva, Edward, Louis, and Henry, and six great grandchildren; Xavier, Lilliana, Leia, Jayden, Zoie, and Imogen.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 S. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St Charles Borromeo Church, N. Main St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Monday 4-7 pm.
