Obituary

SPENCER: Craig A. Cournoyer 51 of Maple St., died Friday, April 8th. at his home.

He leaves his mother Anilta M. (Savoy) Cournoyer Sullivan and her husband Michael of Webster, his son Dylon A. Cournoyer and his mother Lori Maloney with whom they lived, his sister Deborah A. Hopkinson and her husband Ralph of Douglas, a step son Tyson J. Maloney of Spencer, and a step sister Michele E. Sullivan of Newfoundland, Canada. He is predeceased by his father Raymond E. Cournoyer in 1990, a son Dakota Cournoyer in 2014 and a step son Steven Richards in 2015.

Craig was a project manager for T.J.R. Construction in Ct. He was born in Worcester, and graduated from David Prouty High School in 1983, and Norwich University Military School of Vt. in 1987 where he was on the mountain climbing team, parachuting, search & rescue and repelling teams. An avid skier, he was a certified ski instructor at Mt. Wachusett Ski Area. Prior to his death Craig was studying for a Civil Engineering degree.

The funeral will be held on Friday, April 15 from the J.Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling are Thursday, April 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, E.Brookfield, Ma. 01515 or Mary, Queen of the Rosary Food Pantry, 60 Maple St., Spencer, Ma. 01562.
