Jimmie Rae Tyndall Wood, 89, of Tifton, formerly of Albany, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Tifton. A private service will be held for Ms. Wood at a later date.
Born July 27, 1926 in Dover, North Carolina, Ms. Wood was the daughter of the late, Jim B. Tyndall and Phoebe Rhetta Maids Tyndall. She was a Reading Specialist Teacher and retired from the Ohio School System.
Ms. Wood is survived by two sons, Gerald Wayne Wood of Hamilton, Ohio and William Gregory Wood of Dacula; one daughter, Deborah Liggett of Tifton; one brother, Charles Tyndall of Fort Mill, South Carolina; five grandchildren (one granddaughter preceded her in death, Katherine Elizabeth Rodman); and three great-grandchildren.
