Webster – Emerson L. “Bud” Reynolds, 98, of Webster, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Esther C. (Chmielewski) Reynolds; a son, Brian A. & his wife Wanda Reynolds; 4 grandchildren, Carrie B. Verdone , Amy M. Verdone Huq & her husband Joseph, Patrick Reynolds and Christopher Reynolds all of Webster; 6 great-grandchildren, Nick, Zack & Kristen Jacobs, Caitlin & Nina Peters, and Kasyn Robillard; 1 great-great-grandson, Liam Decker; 3, sisters, Barbara Zajac, Shirley Bromley and Marion Reynolds; a brother Myron Reynolds; nephews and nieces. His daughter, Pamela L. “Pam” Reynolds died on March 8, 2016. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Helen Brewer and Gertrude Miller and by his brother Warren Reynolds.
He was born in Charlton a son of Lewis & Adeline (Jaskoviak) Reynolds. He was a graduate of Charlton High School.
Bud worked as a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1988.
Mr. Reynolds was an Army Air Corps. veteran of World War II. He played baseball while in the service as well as for various local teams. He also coached Little League and the Senior Leagues. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Red Sox and the Celtics.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 16, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to VNA of Southern Worcester County, 534 School Street, Webster, MA 01570.
