HAMPSTEAD, NH - Walter Richard Koziol Jr., age 41, died peacefully on Saturday evening, April 9, at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, after a courageous battle with respiratory illness, Diabetes and a lower body disability suffered in an automobile accident when he was twenty years old.
He was born in Lowell, a son of the late Walter and Anne E. (Reagan) Koziol, and was raised in Tewksbury where he graduated from T.M.H.S. with the Class of 1993. Walter moved to Florida with his parents and primary caregivers from Tewksbury in 1994, and he returned to Hampstead, and the care of his beloved brother, Michael, in 2012 following the death of first his mother and then father.
In spite of his disability, Walter always had a smile on his face and a personality to match. Walter was also an accomplished marksman with both pistol and rifle.
Besides his beloved brother, Michael P. and his partner Michelle Holbrook both of Hampstead; he leaves his Border Collie “Kobe.” Walter was predeceased by his brother David M. Koziol.
A Graveside Prayer Service will be held Thursday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. At his request, there are no visiting hours.
