Hazel C. (Carvalho) Dupre, 90, of New Bedford died April 9, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Marcel E. "Mike" Dupre.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Constantino and Bertha (Silva) Carvalho, she lived in New Bedford all of her life. She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
Mrs. Dupre was a dedicated wife, and mother who cherished an everlasting friendship with her fellow coworkers and close friends.
Survivors include her 3 sons, Mark Dupre of Stonington, CT, Paul Dupre of New Bedford and Peter Dupre of Alma, AK.
She was the mother of the late David Dupre.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday, April 18th from 4-8 PM. Flowers are appreciated or memorial donations may be made to HopeHealth McCarthy Care Center, 73 Service Rd., East Sandwich, MA 02537 in memory of Hazel. A granite brick with a brief inscription will be placed in the center's memorial walk in Mrs. Dupre's memory.
