WAYLAND: Daniel F. Krebs, 78, of Wayland died on April 5, 2016 following a brief illness.
He was born on October 11, 1927 in Switzerland, the son of the late Fritz Krebs and Jeanne (Heger) Krebs.
Daniel is survived by his cherished daughters, Lorrie A. Krebs of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and Dena (Krebs) Carr and her husband William Carr of Wantagh, New York, two grandchildren, two nieces and his companion of 25 years, Susan Stockman of Ashville, North Carolina. He was the brother of the late Annette Walzer.
Daniel spent his formative years in Switzerland. He came to New York in 1956, later moving to Milford, CT. In July of 1959, he became an American citizen. He has been a resident of Wayland for more than 30 years. He was educated in Switzerland where he earned a degree in Engineering and had a long and distinguished career in the medical device field. He retired from Codman and Shurtleff, Inc., of Walpole, a division of Johnson and Johnson.
Daniel was very outgoing and enjoyed meeting people from all walks of life. He enjoyed gourmet cooking, the symphony, the opera, and loved to travel.
