GERMAIN, Evelyn R. (Russell) Longtime resident of Needham, April 10, 2016, age 88.
Born in Arlington, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Evelyn H. Russell. She was a graduate of Mary Cliff Academy and the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ.
She married in 1953. She and her husband Robert settled in Needham in 1961 after having resided in New Jersey and Texas. Evelyn was a longtime active member and Past President of the St. Bartholomew Guild and also active in the Post Comers Club of Needham.
She was the mother of Susan Germain and grandmother of Courtney, Matthew, and Molly Manning.
Visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham, Wednesday, April 13 from 8:30-9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Evelyn’s memory to St. Bartholomew Church, 1180 Greendale Ave., Needham, MA 02492.
