Obituary

Colleen E. Currier, 79, formerly of US Route 2, Shelburne, NH passed away on Saturday morning April 9, 2016 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born in Berlin, NH on October 30, 1936 the daughter of Elwood E. and Phyllis N. (Adair) Currier and had lived most of her life in Berlin. Colleen had resided in Alaska for 13 years prior to returning to the area. She had owned and operated the Chuck Wagon Restaurant for 13 years and was also co-owner of the Bon Appite Restaurant for 3 years with Lois Lavertue. Colleen was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish.

Members of the family include her five daughters Paula Hinkley and husband Dana of Berlin, Gayle Theberge and husband Dennis of Milan, Terri Gagne and husband Scott of Anchorage, Alaska, Jennifer Lessard and husband Carl of Shelburne and Elizabeth Cloutier of Berlin; 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters Celeste Rowe of Bow, NH, Shirley Lavertu and Sheila Hayes, both of Berlin and Frances Piche of Laconia; two brothers Elwood Currier Jr. of Texas and Vincent Currier of Cape Cod, MA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her longtime companion of 36 years Charles “Chuck” Draper and by two brothers Durwood Currier and Stewart Currier.

There will be no services. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home.
