Obituary

Edith L. (St. Yves) Boisvert of Salem passed away March 23, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the devoted wife of Louis M. Boisvert with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Born and educated in Arthabaska, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Simeon and Eugenie (Vigneault) St. Yves. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Edith took great pride in providing a loving home for her family. She was a long-standing member and officer of the Club Richelieu North of Boston where she celebrated her French Canadian heritage. She was also a tireless volunteer at the Crombie Street Shelter in Salem. Edith and Louis enjoyed wintering in Coconut Creek, Florida for twenty-five years.

Edith leaves three children, Sylvia Doyle and her husband David of Marblehead, Suzanne Fort and her husband Lawrence of Leland, NC, and Marc Boisvert and his wife Lee Anne of Byfield. She also leaves five grandchildren, Victoria Doyle Vargas, Carley Fort Parekh, Virginia Fort, Daniel Boisvert and Michelle Boisvert, two great-grandsons, Owen Vargas and Dashiell Parekh and her sister, Yvette Belle-Isle of Trois Rivieres, Quebec. Edith was predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline Noel and brother, Romeo St. Yves.
