Mark “Marty” B. Young, 55, of Franklin, died April 8 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. He was the husband of Pamela J. (Breed) Young for the past 35 years.
Born in Norwood, February 27, 1961, the son of Alice (Davey) Young of Blackstone and the late Kenneth Young, Mr. Young was a lifelong Franklin resident.
He was a 1979 graduate of Franklin High School.
Marty had been the Assistant Supervisor of the Department of Conservation and Recreation in Foxboro for over 30 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his son Neil Michael Young and his wife BethAnn of Bellingham.
He is also survived by his siblings, Deborah Collins of Blackstone, Sandy Cummings of Wrentham and Michael Young of Blackstone.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, James and Leah Young.
Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 13 at 10:00 am, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin at 11:00a.m.
