Obituary


OLD ORCHARD BEACH-Gordon Clemens, age 72, died suddenly on April 8, 2016 after a short, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Weld, Maine on Sept 10th 1943, the youngest child of John and Ethel (Vining) Clemens.
Gordon was married for 52 years to the love of his life Randee (Baker) Clemens of Wilton, ME.
Gordon was a master carpenter, building a legacy of beautiful homes across York County. Additionally, he worked for over 35 years at Bayley’s Campground in Scarborough, semi-retiring in 2007 and continuing to work there until March 2016.
Gordon loved hunting and fishing with his friends. He enjoyed photographing and painting wildlife and nature scapes. He was always there with a helping hand, quick to smile, and ready to laugh.
Gordon was a long time member of the Camp Ellis Rod & Gun club.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Gordon is survived by his beloved wife Randee Clemens of Old Orchard Beach, his son Sam Clemens and wife Kathy, and 2 grandsons, Taylor and Chad, all of Las Vegas.
A celebration of life and times will be held Saturday 30 July on Bayley Hill in Scarborough at 1200.
