Margaret (McAleavy) Oleson, of Medford, died Friday at Tufts New England Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was 72.
Born and raised in Cambridge, Margaret lived in Medford for over 30 years. She worked many years at McDonald´s Restaurant in Medford Sq., untill retiring 5 years ago.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Oleson. She was a devoted mother to Richard Oleson of Londonderry, NH, Carolyn Oleson of Malden, Jane Cranmer of Australia, Janice Simon of Derry, NH, Barbara Kirk of VT and the late Glenn Oleson. She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was the sister of Jane Abbott of Malden, Edith Wood of Tewksbury, Charlotte Burgess of Malden, and Edward McAleavy of Medford.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raphael Church, Medford, at 10 AM with the Rev’d. Kevin G. Toomey, presiding. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 7. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
