Carolyn (Ventura) Raposa, 73, of Dartmouth died April 6, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Edward J. Raposa.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late John and Alice (Carvalho) Ventura, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
Mrs. Raposa was formerly employed as a machine operator in several factories in Fall River before retiring as a home health aide in several local nursing homes.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Leonard Raposa and his wife Jeannette of Fairhaven and Edward Raposa of Dartmouth; a brother, Joseph Ventura of Fall River; 4 grandchildren, Leonard David Raposa, Melissa Raposa, Edward Raposa, III and Joshua Raposa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Jessica Raposa.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 15th at 10 AM in the International Church of the Nazarene, 286 Pleasant St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
