Roger J. Perry, 65

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Roger J. “Buster” Perry, age 65 of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Nancy J. (Teixeira) Perry to whom he was wed for nearly 40 years.
Born in Taunton, MA on May 11, 1950, he was a loving son of James and Ida (Pina) St Germaine of West Wareham.
He spent his early childhood living in Taunton until his family moved to West Wareham. He was a 1970 graduate of Wareham High School and continued his education, graduating with an Associates Degree in Engineering from Wentworth Institute.
For the past twenty years, Mr. Perry worked as a Senior Field Service Engineer for Space Lab Medical, a corporation based in Washington State.
A resident of Mansfield for the past 36 years, Buster was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Buster was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He loved his family unconditionally and was always at his best when those around him were happy. His other pleasures in life included cooking, music and collecting muscle cars.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his loving and devoted sons Buster J. Perry of Attleboro and Mansfield, Shamus P. Perry of Mansfield and Aaron Flood of North Carolina. He was the dear and cherished brother of Aldonna LaMarche and her husband Bob of Monument Beach, Diane Barry and her husband John “Buttons” of Mansfield, Rita St Germaine and Steven Briggs of Marion, and Richard St Germaine and Randy St Germaine both of West Wareham. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 13th at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 12th from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Roger’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Waltham, MA 02451.
