Obituary

Kelley, John J. age 50 of Quincy, formerly of S. Boston passed away at home unexpectedly April 5th. Born in Boston, he was raised in S. Boston and graduated from South Boston High Class of 1984 and attended Northeastern University. He was a member of the United States Naval Seacadets from age 9 to 13. He lived in S. Boston for many years before moving to Quincy 6 years ago. He was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed playing in various men’s hockey leagues. John enjoyed the finer things in life and enjoyed shopping and having lunch on Newbury St. with his mother. He has worked for many years for Gillette Co. in S. Boston as a technician. Beloved son of Eleanor A. Kelley (Barkowsky) of Quincy and the late John T. Brother of Cheryl A. Kelley-Powers and her husband James of Wollaston. Nephew of Thomas B. McKeon of Weymouth, William Barkowsky and his wife Karen of Hanover, Sandra Collins-Heinonen and her husband Bob of Quincy, Rosemary Trujillo and her husband Patrick of CO, Nat McKeon of Savannah, GA, Susan Kelley of S. Boston, Claire Kelley of Charlestown, James Kelley and his wife Judy of N.C. and William Kelley and his wife Debbie of S. Boston. Also survived by many cousins and friends. Funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church Quincy Tuesday morning at 10:30 am. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Monday 3-8 pm. Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery.
