Maria L. (Sena) Sequeira, of New Bedford died April 6, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Joao Sequeira.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Tomé and Maria (DePina) deSena, she came to the United States 32 years ago and lived in Boston before moving to New Bedford.
Survivors include her six children, Candida Sequeira, Maria Sequeira, Carlota Sequeira, Benvinda Andrade, Margarida Sequeira, and Edite Martins; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, April 11th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 11 AM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, April 10th from 4-8 PM.
