WORCESTER - E.Lucille Thibodeau, 94, of Coventry Road, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2016 in Holy Trinity Nursing Home, Worcester. She leaves her son David B. Thibodeau and his companion Carolyn Grant of Worcester; a daughter Nancy D. Clapperton and husband John of Auburn; a granddaughter, Kimberly Barone of Rutland; four great-grandchildren; a brother Alvin Boucher of Monson, a nephew Bruce, and niece Cindy also of Monson. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Eugene R. Thibodeau Sr, who died in 2010; two sons, Eugene Jr., Leonard, and a daughter Jamie. Her brother Leonard also predeceased her.
Lucille was born in Ware, MA, a daughter of the late Ovila and Sarah (Metcalf) Boucher, and was raised in the Jefferson section of Holden, Ma. She was a 1939 graduate of the former Holden High School. Lucille went on to graduate from the Hahnemann School of Nursing in 1944, earning her certificate as a registered nurse. She worked many years for the former Hahnemann Hospital and the Wayside Nursing Home. Before moving to Worcester in 1975, she lived in West Boylston for 20 years.
Lucille was a devoted and loving mother, who always put others’ needs before her own. Lucille loved being with family, and shared many funny stories of growing up with her aunts and cousins. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Her great sense of humor and laugh will forever be in our hearts.
Nordgren Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday 4/11/16 @ 11:00 am in Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware, MA.
