THIELE, Joel K. at the age of 70, of Winthrop, Ma, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, PA, died Friday, March 25, 2016 in Boston, Mass. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Karl and Mary (Daches) Thiele Jr. Joel graduated from GAR High School and Wilkes College. He worked as a reference librarian in Malden, Mass. He is survived by his brothers, Karl Thiele III and his wife Patricia of Wapwallopen, PA and Henry Thiele and his wife Mimi of Forty Fort, PA. He is also survived by his niece Courtney Huf and her husband Paul of Rome N.Y. and a brother-in-law Vince McAvoy of Rome, N.Y. and his longtime roommate and friend Kevin Prior and friend Paul Clifford Thayer. He will also be missed by his buddy, Dreyden. Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Funeral arrangements were from the Maurice W.
