Edward S. Andersen, 82, of Worcester passed away Monday, April 4th in St. Mary Health Care Center. He leaves his wife, Claudette T. (Boivin) Andersen; a son, Michael A. Andersen; a granddaughter, Melissa Andersen; two brothers, Henry Andersen and Harry Andersen, both of Worcester; two sisters, Mary Andersen of Millbury and Ann Marie Lorion of Worcester; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew and Patrick Andersen.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Henry and Alice (Walsh) Andersen and worked in the Physical Plant at the College of the Holy Cross for many years before retiring in 1999. Edward was a member of St. Peter’s Church and a former member of Singletary Rod & Gun Club.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 7th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary Health Care Center, 39 Queen Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
