Obituary

Terry Leon Gore, age 62 of Prosser, entered into rest on March 29, 2016 at Hospice at The Chaplaincy in Kennewick. He was born on January 2, 1954 to James and Lorita (Burns) Gore in Toppenish. He was raised and educated in Grandview and Prosser, where he finished his education at Prosser High School. After graduating, he tried dairy farming for a short time before working as manager of Star Foods in Grandview and Harvest Foods in Prosser. He later worked as a Hyster driver for Seneca Foods, then, Milne Fruit and Kenyon Cold Storage until an injury forced his retirement in 2006. He also did mechanic and electrical in Grandview and Prosser. In 1983, Terry and Linda Bailey were married and they were blessed with two daughters, Tanna and Krysta.

Terry enjoyed breaking and riding horses, farming, yardwork, swimming, carpentry and tools. A favorite pastime was spending time in the outdoors and camping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially the children. Terry was a hard worker and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was very spiritual and found enjoyment and peace in reading the Bible. He was baptized at the Assembly of God Church in 1983 and attended the Baptist Church in Grandview.

Terry is survived by his daughters, Tanna Gore (Abe Sanchez) of Pasco and their children, Carter and Noelle and Krysta Gore (Carlos Trevino) of Yakima and their daughter, Delilah; his mother, Lorita Hall (John Holowaychuk) of Prosser; his sister, Sharon Hallman (Steve) of Prosser; his brother, Steve Gore (Rhonda) of Benton City; his nieces and nephews, Steve Sloan of Benton City, Jessica Gore of Kennewick, Stephanie Toliver (Dr. Shane) and their daughter, Saige of Yakima and Brandi Cleveringa (Heath) and their two sons, Deyton and Brady of Prosser; his former wife, Linda Gore of Prosser; and his extended family, Tami Johnson and her children, Ashlee, Jaemee, Cheyenne and Chole and Traci Johnson and her children, Nicole and Austin, all of Prosser.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Gore on August 12, 2001 and his step-father, Keith Hall on July 15, 2002

Also a special thanks to Dr. Gamboa, Dr. Marji, Marlene ARNP, Jason ARNP, Bob RN, and Brenda CNA who cared for dad at Kadlec Hospital.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Prosser Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice at the Chaplaincy in Kennewick.
