Obituary

SPRINGFIELD – Francine E. (Marcotte) LeBlanc, 74, of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, March 31, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Mont-Rolland, Province of Quebec, Canada on November 5, 1941, a beloved daughter of the late Adrien Marcotte and Beatrice (Lapointe) Marcotte. She was raised in Canada and moved to Chicopee in 1965 where she lived until 1972 when she moved to Hungry Hill in Springfield. She was employed for many years as a secretary and worked for various businesses including the Aetna Insurance Company in Springfield. She was a member of the Brightwood Golden Age Club and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, both in Springfield. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Robert J. LeBlanc. They were married on April 23, 1966 at the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and were blessed with nearly 50 years of happiness together. Besides her husband, she leaves her loving son, Kevin R. LeBlanc of Springfield; her two cherished granddaughters, Jessica and Lindsay LeBlanc; and her dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the LeBlanc and Marcotte families. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, April 8, 2016 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Her burial will be private at the convenience of her family. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning, April 8, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the Mass. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, (Specify Springfield), 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
