Shirley V. Beane 73, of Cleveland St., died March 29, 2016 at home. She was the wife of the late James F. Beane. Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of Rachel (Senn) Spencer of Woonsocket, and the late Newton Spencer. In her youth Shirley worked for the former Naragannsett Knitting Mills.
Besides her mother she leaves a son Steven Thifault of Woonsocket, four daughters Jo-Ann Hedquist and Dawn Beane both of Woonsocket, Sheryl Kreig and Donna Conley both of Pascoag, a sister Debra Souza Spencer of Woonsocket, thirteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Theresa’s Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM.
