Augusta, GA- Fred Robinette, 94, loving husband of Helen Porter Robinette, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home on Crawford Avenue with Rev. Tony Wilkerson officiating. An internment will follow at Westover Memorial.
Fred was born in Newton, AL in 1922. He was employed by the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, where he worked as a surgical technician. Fred loved his church, his family, and his friends and even more his Savior, Jesus Christ. He served faithfully at Crawford Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. He and his wife of 68 years loved to travel and see America.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children: Barry Robinette (Gina) of Augusta, GA, and Shirley Weathers (Michael) of Evans, GA., four grandchildren; Candice Weathers of Appling, GA, Gabriel Weathers (Aja) of Cumming, GA, Heather Robinette, Charles Robinette of Augusta, GA, great-grandchildren; Davis Weathers, Keris Weathers, Noah Weathers, Brayden Weathers of Cumming, GA, three siblings; Pete Robinette, Peggy Taylor, mother and father-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Coy A. Campbell of Taylors, SC, and Betsy Campbell of Dothan, AL.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
