Obituary
Mrs. Keefe died Friday at the Braemoor Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late John and Anna (Leahy) Keefe. She had been a resident of Brockton for most of her life with the exception of five years living in Pocasset. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and before her marriage she had been a secretary in Boston. Mrs. Keefe was a homemaker who stayed home to raise her family. She was a member of the Twentieth Century Catholic Club and a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Survived by a son, Dr. Michael D. Keefe of Brockton and 2 daughters, Mary J. Humphries of Mendham, NJ, Joanne Huxford of Norwalk, CT., 5 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren, one sister Margaret “Pegge” Kane of N. Easton and several nieces and nephews.
She was the wife for 50 years of the late W. Gordon Keefe and mother of the late John S. “Jack” Keefe and sister of the late Maureen Ryan and David Herlihy
