Charles Frank Thomas, Jr. 83, of Fitzgerald Georgia, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Thomas was born May 8, 1932, in Bay County Florida, to the late Lottie Elizabeth King Smith. He served his country honorably in the Marine Corps, during the Korean War. He was owner/operator of “The Appliance Doctor”, where he repaired air conditioners and appliances. Mr. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He was survived by his children and their spouses: Tom Banks & Gail of Ozark, Alabama, Treva Banks Carroll & James of Mississippi, Teresa Quiroga & Miguel of Mississippi, Peter Banks of New Orleans, Louisiana, Sandy Thomas Ewald & Ken of Arizona, Chuck Thomas & Laura of Parowan, Utah, Mark Thomas & Melissa of Kennewick, Washington, Seth Thomas & Leigh Ann of Irwinville and Jennifer Thomas Black of Alaska. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather: Charles Smith and a son-in-law: Gary Black.
