Manchester– Joan A. (Oswell) Charest, 85, died March 29, 2016 at Greenbriar Terrace following a long illness.
She was born in Berlin NH on December 29, 1930 the daughter of George William and Josephine (Sunbury) Oswell.
Prior to her retirement she was a telephone operator for New England Telephone.
She loved golfing, bowling and bingo.
Family members include her husband of 65 years, Donald P. Charest of Manchester, her son, Craig Charest of Burlington VT., and her daughter, Kathy Page of Weare NH.
She was predeceased by her brother, George William Oswell.
A graveside service will take place on Monday at 1 PM in the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 NH 101, Bedford NH 03110.
