TAUNTON – Rodrigo P. Albernaz, husband of Maria “Natalia” (Raposo) Albernaz of Berkley, died in Brooksville, FL on March 29, 2016.
He was 65.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he moved to Fall River in 1966, later relocating to Berkley in 1995.
He was the son of the late Francisco and Maria Albernaz.
Educated in Portugal, he was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and an avid soccer fan. His favorite team was Benfica.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Paul Albernaz and his wife Cindy of Berkley and Jeffrey Albernaz and his wife Stephanie of Taunton; two daughters, Sandra Albernaz and Nancy Albernaz, both of Berkley; three brothers, Jose Albernaz, Francisco Albernaz and John Albernaz, all of Fall River; two sisters, Maria Miranda of Swansea and Belmira DeSousa of Fall River; three grandchildren, Patrick, Sabastian and Lilyana; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Antone Albernaz.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Wednesday, April 6th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5th from 5 to 8 p.m.
