Derry, NH – Francis J. Winiarz, 66, husband of Kathy Winiarz, of Derry, formerly of Salem, MA, died Tuesday evening, March 29, 2016 at his residence due to complications from Diabetes.
Born and raised in Salem, MA, he was the son of the late Francis J. Sr. and Florence (Lisaj) Winiarz and was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1968.
Mr. Winiarz was a Vietnam Era veteran, served in the US Navy and was a life member of the VFW, Witch City Post #1524 of Salem.
Mr Winiarz and his wife have been living in Derry since 1980.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by the US Postal Service and was an actively involved with the Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society.
Besides his wife, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage, he is survived by two sons and a daughter, Justin, Kristopher and Jennifer, all of Derry and one brother, Mark Winiarz of Salem, MA
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2 to 5 pm at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
