Sarah Jessie Wirth, widow of Charles Hayes Wirth, left this life on March 29, 2016. She was born in Stanford, Kentucky to Sadie Bixler Alexander and Jesse Frank Brent on July 6, 1924.
Jessie was retired from Kroger and volunteered at Farnsley-Moreman, enjoyed square dancing with Charlie and was an accomplished quilter.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Janet.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Pell Wardrop), Deborah Kennedy (Jerry), and Bradley (Karen), eight grandchildren, Owen, and Andrew Wirth, Kristina Thompson, Lindsay (Jesse) McCollum, Sherri Mosby, Kristi (Tim) Couch, Vanessa Kennedy, Melanie (Matt) Cook.
Services will be held at Owen Funeral Home at 5319 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at noon. Internment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery at 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Ky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016.
